Sata 3 Hard Drive Setup

Hi everyone,

Just a quick one. I'm in the process of building an I7 system. I am purchasing 2x2TB Sata 3 hard drives and will have a 1TB Sata 2 hard drive also.

What is the best way to utilize these?

Would this be right?

1 Sata 3 for OS(win 7)

1 Sata 3 for Library

1 Sata 2 for storage.

Thanks in advance
Mark.

    Anyone?

I guess the question is, What is the priority for speed?
VST, OS or where the audio is saved to?

Any help would be really appreciated.

    Thank
    Mark.

[<font]The most common way to use three hard drives is:
    1) O/S, programs
    2) Music project files
    3) Sample libraries

This type of setup helps spread the load evenly between all drives.  It is not nearly as efficient when either samples or project files share hard drives.

+1 - that's what I do but all 3 of those are INTERNAL.  and I have another external for backups and storage.

Thanks very much guys, i've got it setup like you both say and the difference compared to my old setup (all on one drive) is amazing.
