Issues With Midi Input!

elp!

Not a big one, I managed to hook up my midi korg microkey with no issues, making noises and responding fantastic, the problem is there is a delay on the response (hit the key then half seconf later the sound comes through), I can cope with it but its just out and drives me bannanas - the Program which came with the Midi Microkey works fine it's just when it comes to running it through a recording program - I am using Music Maker 5.

Please Help!

it's called latency and 90% of latency is due to your soundcard and drivers.

my best recommendation is to buy a "recording" soundcard.  check my website for recommendations.

    Focusrite Saffire 6 USB.
    Not a Sound Blaster.
Any other interface that has real ASIO audio drivers and is designed for recording and has the inputs you need.
    Welcome to the forum.

I am selling my MIM Fender Stratocaster HSS, red and black. PM for more details.

Music Creator 2003, MC Pro 24, SONAR Home Studio 6 XL, SONAR  X3e, CbB, Focusrite Saffire, not enough space.
    Everything is better with pie.

and, btw, Music Maker is not a Cakewalk product, so in case you need support, this is the wrong place unless it's just a typo.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.
