Is the timeline highlighted just for all 16 beats? You may have some sort of MIDI data that went to measure 654666 and its bouncing all those measures. So make sure the timeline is highlighted just for those 16 beats. Do you have fast bounce enabled?

Sonar X1 pro. Vista 64 -----motu ultralite mk1...... In preferences(P) try setting the bounceBufSizeMsec value to 0 if it is set at something else. This will match your mixing latency settings. If it is set at 0, then try 100 as value(from 0-350) as some softsynths require its own value. I had had mine set at 350 and it worked great until 1 project and then it basically halted (1% IN 15min) changed it to 0 and it was back to normal. I had originally changed it to the higher value for a plugin I was using and it did the trick there. Just forgot to change it back.

This is one of the most often-reported and still not fixed problems with X1. You need to temporarily hide the huge control bar - Try it. I am sure once you minimize it, your bounces will then go zippity the way they're supposed to. Feel free to mark my post as "helpful"-- Randy B.

This stupid "can't bounce with the control bar on" thing came up soon after the program was released, and we ****ed and moaned - now here we are. X1 really is a piece of work ain't it though? RB - still using 8.5.3 - poking at X1 once in awhile because it's a curiosity piece sitting there un-used on my hard drive

I reported the bounce/control bar issue to Cakewalk recently (I'm sure it's been reported numerous times), and they said they are aware of the issue and working on it. So hopefully it's fixed in X1C. If not, then truly...what the hell?
