Soft synths lock up Sonar 8.5 . . . even after I unload them

And things were going so well . . . .

Hey everyone, I'm having soft synth problems and would like to hear anyone's ideas.

My full config is below, but I'm been using 8.5 PE on my WIndows 7 machine for a couple of months - no problems.

Today when I loaded some synths along with some audio tracks, it didn't work.  First there are no synth sounds(Sonar is receiving MIDI) at all (I know how to work it :)), and then Sonar won't play (won't start when I press the play arrow) or waits 10-15 seconds before it will start.

Rebooting Sonar and not loading synths resets it and then I can play audio (but no synths).

Just when I needed that accordion sample!

    All synths? Specific synths? New project, or existing project? Any other projects with those synths having the same issue?


    All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

    Good lord with those computer specs and that interface one would not expect a problem:? 32 / 64 bit issue??
