Multiple outputs on an interface?
Hello, I'm looking for recommendations on an interface. I'm using it as a metronome/sample/triggering for my drums. I've found out that I need : 1) Multiple outputs 2) USB 2.0 powered 3) Fairly cheap, around $200 Would love to hear your opinion on this, thanks!

PreSonus has a new USB line of interfaces out. The 2X2 plus headphones is right at $200. I bet Reece doesn't have that one listed - it was just announced today ;-)

Nice! Is it shipping? They usually have decent interfaces.

fanir Hello, I'm looking for recommendations on an interface. I'm using it as a metronome/sample/triggering for my drums. I've found out that I need : 1) Multiple outputs 2) USB 2.0 powered 3) Fairly cheap, around $200 Would love to hear your opinion on this, thanks! I'm using a Focusrite USB 6, great little box and good drivers.

I have the Focusrite USB 6. However, I would recommend the Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 at just over $200. It includes the MixControl utility which the USB 6 doesn't have. The Scarlett is also one of the few USB 2.0 interfaces out there. The USB 6 is only USB 1.0.

Yes, that one is better but the manual says You must use the included power supply to use the Scarlett 8i6, it does not power from USB alone. So that's why I got the USB 6, it runs off USB only and the idea of being able to use the laptop was that I could take it anywhere. The USB 6 is also limited to 48k (24bit) so if you like the higher sample rates it won't work for you.

I haven't done much recording lately I'm using it mainly for playback. I'll let someone else chime in on latency.
