Input echo problem

Ok, I searched the forum first and couldn't find any mention of this..
Last night, recording a midi track using a soft synth and an external controller. Everything working fine. Edited out a couple of bars, played some notes on controller keyboard - nothing. Tried to turn Input Echo/Monitor off then on again - nothing. Input Echo light/Indicator stuck on couldn't turn it on or off. Went to another soft synth track - working fine -Input echo button working fine. Tried to remove soft synth from the problem track and reroute it - still nothing. I even tried closing down X1 and reloading - still have Input Echo locked on that one track. First time I have any problems with X1.
HELP PLEASE

    Are you running a 32bit VST in Win 7 and X1 64bit?

Sounds like a VSTi that might be having an issue with BitBridge...

Is the problem track in a folder ?.

Try turning off/on using the InputEcho button on the folder.

I had this happen to a track the other day.

    Cheers - Cliff

I've run into this, mainly with Amplitube 3 but it has happened on other soft synths. I could be recording, jamming or in the middle of giving a guitar lesson, i'll do something like import an mp3 track to play with and then the sound from Amplitube is just lost.

I've checked the input monitoring (turned on / off), stopped and started the audio engione but nothing. The only work around I can find is relaunching Sonar

It's not all the time but it can and does happen and it's not nice having to stop a lesson whilst I relaunch Sonar or am in the middle of a session.

All 64 bit so no bit bridge or anything.

I'll look at the input echo on the tarck folders as suggested by CLIFFR, all guitars are in a track folder so I may have overlooked this.

    Thanks

    Cliff - not using folders on this one - it's a very simple project - Piano/Vocal/String(synth) .
I have to admit that although I have been working in X1 since this post, I haven't gone back to that project to check out the 32 bit VST thing but I am pretty sure everything is working in 64 bit - it is happening with Dim Pro 64 - no other effects on that track as far as I can remember.
