A Freebie, A Good Deed Opportunity, and Some Cool Stuff to Read

Haven't seen the name around here so I thought I'd pass it along...

I was looking for an algorithm-based reverb and someone suggested that I try ValhallaRoom (http://www.valhalladsp.com/)

Sounds good, I dig the big/easy to read GUI, cheap ($50) and 10% of all proceeds donated to the American Red Cross International Relief Fund.

Of course, you probably have all the reverbs you need in Sonar, but anyway... There's a pretty nice freebie for you to grab there called ValhallaFreqEcho.

The guy's blog is full of reverb tips and tricks and info. Interesting read.

I got this a couple of months ago. Very nice, spacious sound with a lot of depth. The guy just added three or four  more algorithms: the dark room, chamber and another dark one.  The "dark" algos are kind of a homage to some older "lo-fi" hardware reverbs I believe (but don't quote me). He has really added to the value in just the last couple of weeks.  It's my favorite 'verb at the moment. I've been using it more than Reverberate which I also like.
