Slider queestion


I am using PCR-500 as my midi controller, and Roland UA-55 as my audio interface. In Sonar X1 Producer, when I am doing Automation --> Volume, there is this green line where I preset the volume on each section of the clip. After I preset the volume with the green line, and press play, the slider in Sonar X1 for the volume of that clip will move up and down according to my setting.

My question is, how can I assign the slider on my Edirol PCR-500 midi controller so that the slider can move up and down (when I clicked on the Play button in Sonar) according to the automation settings for volume that I have done?

    If you mean can you set the fader(slider) on the PCR to follow the automation the answer is you can't. To do that you need motorised faders which the PCR does not have.

    A cheap, great value controller with motorised faders is the Behringer BCF2000, if that is what you want.
