One track is out of sync

One track is out of sync

Hey im trying to remix a song

Which is I have the original version in track 1
and the instrumental version is track 2

I cut the wave files so they match up perfectly
but when I press play, track 2 (instrumental) seems to be a bit faster than track 1, I think the tempo might be different
How would I go about making it sync with track 1 or change the tempo of 1 track?

    So are you saying the tempo of the source tracks is actually different?

    Do they both sound like they are playing at the right speed or does one sound speeded up or slowed down compared to the other?

    Is one track to be used as a guide and the other for the basis of the remix?

    Make sure both wave files have the same sample rate (44K vs 48K). If they are different, that would cause the files to play at which seems different tempo.
