Record realtime ACT RPN changes

I recently purchased an A300 Pro controller and pretty much got it to work (allthough it was extremely frustrating because of the laughable documentation).
Now that I configured everything with ACT I got one big problem:
I can map the knobs and sliders via the ACT A300 Pro editor to various parameters in VSTi's like Kontakt 4 and controlling them works just fine but I can't record any of the knob movement as automation data.
Automation is recorded when I use the pitchbend/modulation joystick (which sends MIDI CC) but the mapped ACT parameters arent recorded at all (which should be RPN data?).
Is Sonar ignoring incoming RPN changes while recording automation? Would be pretty pointless.
I am not that much into ACT (in fact I use it for the first time, last controller I had did everything wvia MIDI CC) and allthough I like the ACT approach I still can't figure out exactly what is sent and why Sonar X1 Producer seems to ignore it while recording.
So it sends RPN data...I can map this in Kontakt 4 as Host Controller. What is the difference between RPN and MIDI CC regarding Sonar and how Sonar works with the incoming data?
How can I record incoming RPN data changes?

I allready posted a similar thread into the keyboard controllers forums but I think this is more of a Sonar X1 problem.

I would be incredibly thankful if someone could help me out on this one.
