Question ...

Is it possible to "import" a track (song) from one DAW to another? I've done demos of two tracks in one app, but I find the Matrix View in X1P to be very useful.

The demo (full song) contains 34 tracks (32 as two are "doubled"). Anyway, I was just asking because it looks as if Cakewalk does support the file type for the audio loops used (OGG) I understand may have to redo the demo again; however, that took alot to get the track the way I wanted.

The reconstruction of midi tracks I can handle, but the re-construction of audio is just one of my problem. Another is the "beat-matching." Th easiest thing to do would be to let prolong the demo to be the entire song, but as someone put it, I want to "feel more real."

If I could get advice on how to accomplish this or if someone would like to collaborate with me, I'd be very grateful. Thanks.

It's the second song, but you're welcome to help with the first as well.

What DAW are you gonna be exporting from?

If it supports OMF, then you would definitely be in luck ... if not, you may have to export each track individually then import each track into SONAR

If you do export the tracks use broadcast wave file for the file type if the other DAW supports it. Then you can import the files into Sonar X1 at the proper time stamp.
