Good description of your song. I liked this, very subtle but with a very cool groove. The mix sounded good on my system. I'm more of a guitar oriented listener so I can't say for sure that a tweak here or there wouldn't make it even better. But from a simple listening standpoint, it sounded good and I liked the textures you used. Nice work.

I love the piano part. The whole thing sounds good to me...a nice ambient track.

Thanks Tony and Janet. I listened to it on my notebook this morning and it lost a lot on those speakers. I am probably going to remix it again to see if i can fix that, and make some other adjustments as well. Tony, I went to the Distant Towers site and listened to some stuff there -- great work. Really hard to compare it to anything else, in a good way. Maybe Jethro Tull and Crash Test Dummies -- two bands i love. Janet, I listened to some Prairie Breeze as well. Beautiful, very inspiring. Thanks again for listening.

Awesome, thanks Wookiee. I checked out your Soundclick page -- very nice ambient stuff. Also, nice to run into another John Martyn fan in the world. He was the best ever.

Sounds awesome. The ambient sound and the unexpected sax works pretty well. Nice mix of intruments with great melody lines.

Personally prone to liking things that cross genres or straddle them, I naturally liked this. Very nice mix of sounds and textures... a pleasure to listen to. One nit on the mix was noted on the tune at about 1:44- lowering the percussion, and raising (and possibly brightening) the piano, which is very nice there. Very nice job on this.

Thanks Phil -- i will definitely fix the mix as you suggested. BTW, your 'Walking the Dog' is phenomenal! Some mean shredding on that tune.

Only listening via earbuds on lappy, but it sounds pretty good all the same. I agree with the comments so far and also think that the chimes could do with dialling back a little at 1:30 too. Often when I listen to instrumentals on here I hear them as songs waiting for vocals rather than a finished instrumental, if that makes sense, but that is not the case here - sounds complete the way it is.

Thanks Paulo -- I've fixed that and some other things in the mix, plus added compression on the final mix. First time i've applied compression, so I am taking it slow. I've left both versions on SoundCloud for awhile for comparison. I really liked your Meteor Strike piece -- that is the kind of stuff i would do if I could sing worth a damn.
