More than one loop

I was wondering if anyone know if you can set more than one loop up at a time in Sonar?

Like looping from 4:01:001 thru 8:04:959 while looping from 24:01:001 thru 28:01:959 at the same time?

Or are you thinking of multiple tracks looping the same span simultaneously?

    Mike -

I'd like to be able to have two separate loops.  For play back, I would only want to play one of them.

ie.  loop one from 1:01:001 thru 28:01:005 (whole song) and the other say from 15:01:001 thru 22:01:00 (part to be worked on).

Reason being - I usually do one loop for example the chorus, verse and bridge.  I'd like to  have the second loop for say the bridge.  That way I can work out whatever needs to be done there.

I work similarly to what you describe.

In that case what I do is quickly select the measures in question on the timeline ruler at the top of tracks view.

Then I use the "set loops to selection" command to quickly set up a loop.

You can set up some markers if that makes it easier for you to look on the timeline ruler.

You can also just select a clip of the correct length and use the "set loops to selection" command like that.

It seems like you just need to optimize how quickly you can set up a loop and then you'll feel that you may have as many as you might ever want.

    I hope that makes sense.

    all the best,
    mike

You can set up some markers if that makes it easier for you to look on the timeline ruler.

Not only that, but you can click in the marker section (upper half) of the timeline between two markers to select the range. Then just click the Set Loop Points button in the loop module (or Shift-L)
