If I've told you once, I've done told you a thousand times.  You don't poke a tiger with a stick.  You don't paint yourself with chum, hop in the ocean, and look for sharks.  You don't yank the grizzly's eyebrows.  You don't tickle black mambas under their chin.  Most of all, you don't go upstairs if you don't want to get mauled.

Some of them folks up there just ain't right.

"That's not the punchline, you fat and bloated idiot!!!"
"It is, too, you incomprehensible boob!"
"You always botch the setup, you insipid lump of warthog droppings!"
"You wouldn't know a good joke if it were docked on your primary monitor, you slack jawed, drooling, brain dead sack of gelatenous goo!"
"Yeah?  Well, at least I can read the explanatory pop-up book without moving my lips much, you scum-encrusted, bile-spewing, repulsive pile of putrescent decaying whale blubber!!!"

Once you explain it to them in small, simple words with brightly coloured drawings, that is.  Pop-up books can be quite helpful, too. 

You may need to explain it more than once for full effectiveness, though.
