Snap By Seconds not working....

Trying to use the Snap By secods (since X1 has a broken "set timecode at now" confirmed since March and nothing fixed!!!) to mark a VO beginning then turn on snap by seconds and set it to 30 sec.  When I click away from my marker it snaps TO 30 sec intervals, not BY 30 sec. intervals.  Snap To and By are doing the exact same thing.

I could be wrong, but I think clicking the timeline has always worked as Snap To rather than Snap By. Snap By doesn't make as much sense in the timeline, because there's no fixed starting point to use as a reference the way there is with a clip or a note or other object, except perhaps where the Now time is when you enable Snap, which I guess I your expectation.

I can think of a few workarounds, but nothing that you'd call "elegant". I'll have to think about it.

EDIT. The most straightforward method I can think of is to Insert Marker, check the SMPTE box, and mentally add 30 seconds to the Now time.

Normally I use "Set timecode at now", set it to zero. Then I can see where the 30sec or 60sec jingle lands from the first note or word.  But since X1 "Set timecode at now" is broken. (confirmed in March with no fix yet!!!)

Thought since that was broke I would put the cursor at the beginning of the jingle and 'snap by' 30 secs to mark the end.  It should be able to 'snap to' or 'snap by' just like everything else snapable.

It's bad when you try to find a workaround for a feature you use regularly and then end up having to find a workaround for the workaround.
