Along Comes Mary - no more crackles
Those of you who listened before and commented on the crackling, please listen again an let me know if you hear any crackles now. The problem was in the lead vocals and one of the guitar parts. It's a SONAR glitch that I have yet to solve. When I'm tracking audio, sometimes that nasty crackling happens. It's completely unpredictable. When I adjust the Options/Audio/Buffer Size, it goes away for a while, but it always comes back, so I have to constantly be checking it. What's weird is that it doesn't matter if I increase or decrease the buffer size, it works for a while, and then comes back. Along Comes Mary - sans crackling

Dan, I loved it. I was a big fan of the Association. This is fabulous. What a breath of fresh air!!! Nice work and it is NOT an easy number to copy by any means (we used to try and cover it in high school). (just a note: i would post the songwriters of this on the soundclick sight seeing as i would be pissed if it was my tune and no mention was made.) Thanks for posting.

You know, I've never been to the SoundClick forum. I didn't even occur to me that their might be one. I'll check it out. By the way, I did post this here a few weeks ago and several people did listen and comment, so no worries. I just reposted the new version to make sure the crackling had gone. I couldn't hear it in the mix, I had to listen to each track separately. My hearing is marginal at best.

Dan, Great stuff redoing this one. Harmonies are spot on and very enjoyable. Unfortunately, I still to hear breakup though. I hear it even when the vocals are not singing. It sounds like you have digital distortion happening like you are pushing a track or a bus far too much. I really liked what you've done here. Great job musically with everything here. Thanks for sharing, Tom

Dan - that sounds great! Nice job. I had the same issue recently with crackling in the vocals - intermittent cracking. I never had this before but I have a new computer and win764. What I did to get rid of it is turn off wireless internet. With my old rig, wireless did not upset anything.
