Navigation in console view

Here's a thing I've just stuck in a  feature request for. Any thoughts? Anyone think there's a better way?

"The new navigator actually within the track view is really useful, but would be even more so if it was also added to the console view, where you only really have the transport for navigation.

It might seem that you wouldn't want anything other than a timeline in console view, but I find that over the course of working on something, I get to know the visual "shape" of the project really well, and find it much more immediate to whizz around the visual representation than to use markers or remember times. Could you just create a screenset with the Navigator and timeline visible at the top to allow your navigation?  You may want to remove the control bar to give the increased realestate back to the Console view.

That's be pretty nifty. You can sort of do it now by undocking the navigator, resizing it to suit and floating it where you want on top of the console.

Properly incorporated would be better though.

Yeah, thats what I've historically done. But the option in the view menu for track view gives this nifty integrated thing, which is really handy. I've always thought it would be more useful in console view than track view, really, and the thing they've added there is exactly what I wanted, just in the wrong place :)

Ok, now I think I get what you are after.  When you select the clip/track in the navigator it would be highlighted/active in the console and also in inspector in addition to Track view.   That would definitely be a benefit and could actually get me using the navigator.  I normally have it(Nav) hidden but that would provide some usefulness for how I work.    Good Idea!
