Some strange behaviour...

I have a guitar track routed to a buss, whose output is routed to the Master buss. All faders are set at zero, no sends or effects. The Master buss meter is reading about 3dB quieter than the guitar buss - any ideas what might be going on?

I'll have three fingers of Glenlivet, with a little bit of pepper... and some cheese.

Nope, no panning. I used the External Insert plugin to run it through some outboard, bounced to a new track, then routed this new track to a buss, panned centre, no FX, nadda. This is most odd...

And I've already checked to see if I accidentally activated offset mode, but cannot see the usual + signs that normally indicate that you are operating if offset mode.

I'm on the same lines as lorneyb2, first thought was a compressor somewhere?

Haha, no that was the first thing I checked - no ProChannel self-activation!

So there are 2 tracks in total yes? Or have you deleted the original.

Yes there are 2 tracks (well actually 4 - the original DI + 2 mic and the 1 bounced track) but I have the old tracks muted and hidden. The weirdness doesn't just happen for that one track - every track I solo is about 3-4dB quieter on the master buss...

Grasping at straws here, you haven't accidentally moved the input gain at the top of the master bus by any chance?  Just double click it to make sure it is at 0.

Nope, checked that - all input gain faders are at zero...
