BLANK notracks or busses NOT showing up!?

I have X1 STUDIO[wish I just bought Producer FIRST!] and Producer, both have had the respective X1a and X1b updates installed. The Blank no tracks or busses showed up ONCE months ago,and after reinstalling a few times it stopped showing.STUDIO is now completely uninatalled as I finally purchased the box of PRODUCER[Both the 32bit and 64bit versions installed] and obviously now just have that on my machine[Dell XPS L502x Laptop,i7 2630qm quad mobile CPU,8GB RAM,SeaG.750GB int.HDD]and everything runs fine[W7 x64]but except for that ONE time this TRACK template option has since never again re-appeared,any clues?THANKS,RK.

Do you mean the blank template for starting a new project?

As far as I know the blank template was never part of X1, because there where some problems when no tracks or busses where present. I don't know if this is solved with the X1b update, but it is possible...

Anyway - My way around this is just start a project with a standard template, remove everything you do not want to be present (I only leave the master bus), and save this as a template file, naming it "blank". This is a simple procedure that only takes a few minutes, and your problem is solved...

    Sorry - I really don't know.

If you upgraded from Studio to Producer it is possible the standard templates where overwritten when you re-run the "Personalise Settings" part of the install. I can not tell you if that's the case, because I started a clean install with the boxed version of X1 Producer (leaving 8.5 on a separate partition). As far as I know I only made the template once.

Just a point of correction, the Blank template you're referring to is a PROJECT template, not a TRACK template.

I don't think there's a Blank template option in the default list, but nothing could be easier than creating your own

yeah that drove me nuts on the release date. just open a project with the default template, delete all the tracks and busses. go to File, choose Save As. choose Template in the dialog box. i renamed mine just "blank template".
