Your PC isn't cutting edge. I don't know what you mean by "slowly" (20 seconds or three minutes), but my guess is that the situation is normal. Isn't it logical that the longer the project, the longer the process takes? The waveform video is not saved with the project as a picture, but SONAR redraws it every time. I don't think any videocard tweaks are useful.
Have you taken care of your PCs hygiene? Defragging the HD, checking and removing spyware and other malware, and not having any unnecessary programs running at the same time.
