Easy Question: How to combine?

I've used Sonar since 7.x. Until now, I used it only for mixing/mastering. Sonar X1 is easy enough for me to quickly understand enough to use for recording, as well. Thank God, because now I don't have to deal with Live's crashes due to lack of x64 support. So, I'm new to recording in Sonar...

How do I combine multiple, sequential MIDI sections into one? In Live, it was in the right click menu, but not so in Sonar. Much appreciated.

Not sure I'm understanding you correctly but sounds like you need to select all clips and then bounce to clip.

You mean combine multiple MIDI clips in a single track?

Select the track and then choose Clips > Bounce To Clips from the Track view menu.

I'm sorry. I used the word "sections", didn't I? Yes, clips.

I'm not looking to bounce to audio just yet. I want to combine separate, connected midi clips into one midi clip.

For example, I created a clip. it sounds nice. However, I wanted it to repeat. I copied, pasted, and since it's positioned properly I want to combine the two clips into one.

Okay, never mind. I got it. ON a lark I tried Bounce to Clip(s) as suggested and it worked. Strange way of naming. Thanks for the help!

Now, on to figure out how to rename the darn clips. 8 was easy, this one not so much...

Press I to open the Inspector (left side of workspace), if it's not already open. Click the Clips tab at the top. Then select the clip you want to rename and use the Inspector to do it.

Combining separate clips is only one function of Bounce to Clips. It's called that because you can also use it on Audio tracks, and it will render clip edits like stretching, cropping and fading into the WAV file. And when used on MIDI clips, it will have additional consequences, like writing the forced MIDI channel into the events.

Access to all clip properties, including the clip name, is now through the Track Inspector (default keybinding I).
