MIDI LATENCY????
Hello, I'm experimenting this: -Open new SYNTH TRACK with OMNISPHERE. -Record events for xxx measures with no problem. -Listen events. NO PROBLEM AT ALL Then: -Try to record another portion of the same SYNTH Track and happens that the OMNISPHERE sound, while I play it through my S90 SX via USB, comes out with a big delay (about 20 msec) If I stop sequencer the delay is still there; if I reset midi, the delay disappears but as soon as I only start "play" or "rec" delay comes out again. Any change to ASIO LATENCY buffer value doesn't have any effect. Did someone experimented this before? I just posted this question to CW support. Any help will be appreciated...

What interface and driver mode? Does it happen with other synths? If you record MIDI, striking the keys when you hear the metronome with the synth audio silenced, is the MIDI late? Do you have any FX in the project - perhaps something that requires Plug-in Delay Compensation like PerfectSpace? Is the 20ms an estimate, or measured somehow? 20ms is bothersome, but less than you'd usually get due to PDC. Do you have a MIDI DIN port that you can use instead of the USB connection?

Thank You Brundlefly. Asio Mode with TC electronic Konnekt 48. Windows 7 64 bit 8GB ram Yes, omnisphere notes come out delayed respecting metronome. I didn't try with other Virtual synths. I'll do it. 20, maybe 15: I estimated this by my experience. Very big delay!!! Any efx on tracks... Too difficult to try via midi din connections ...

Yes, omnisphere notes come out delayed respecting metronome. Just to be clear, I'm not talking about audio from Omnisphere. I mean are the MIDI Events from the S90 recorded consistently late in the timeline? Silence the Audio/Instrument track so you're not distracted by the delay, and just focus on physically hitting the keys in time with the metronome. Also, what is the buffer setting, and what does SONAR report for the Output latency under Preferences > Audio > Driver Settings?

Found: Bit bridge problem. Omnisphere installed in the wrong folder (inside programs and not in programsX86)

Omnisphere is not native x64? Or you mistakenly installed the x86 version of it? Bitbridge does have a bug that adds an empty buffer oto audio rendered from existing MIDI, which can make it noticeably late if your buffer is big. But it does not affect real-time playing to my knowledge. I'm curious to know exactly what was going on here.

Hi , Brundlefly. I'm sorry but I left this forum to go on gigs out of my town for some days. Well, Yes! I made a "total wrong" installation of Ominsphere!!! Now it's perfect! CW support gave me also the advice to clean uninstall and re-install Antivirus (karpersky). I did it and, magically Sonar began to "fly" rather than "walk". Thank you for your helping posts! Let's have a good music!!!
