I don't see Wookie on the endorsement list.
and this:

Leaves me thinking I would be just as happy with a Fernandez.
Plus there's not a bunch of info about how they make the guitars.
Like for example; are they just refinished Fender MIM Standards? Or do they select the wood and build their own stuff from scratch?
Then there is the whole... "why can't they paint it so it's not all buggered up" question. Can you get a nice gloss finish? Do you have to get a beat up guitar? Etc.

I guess he doesn't like authentic new vintage, even when one of 'em has some 'Vargas' type artwork on it. He's made me want a 'Fernandez' brand guitar now though.

I haven't Space. I have a Strat '57 with a soft V neck. I sure like that neck. Most would probably consider it a slow neck. I don't like those old Tele bridges. I use my fingers. The cutaway bridges of that style are much, much better. One should also note that the 9.5 radius may not be the best choice for shredding. Sure is comfortable though for playing and chording. Alder would be my choice. Marketing has a way of pushing Ash like it's so much better and then pricing it over Alder when the truth be told it's not and the extra cost is due to the hassle of putting a finish on it. Just some thoughts. This guy is worth listening to. He's been around. Would really like to go there- I saw many guitars I'd like to play.

Here's an almost a Fernandes that is making me drool right now:  I'm under the impression that "blues" is a venture started by the former Fernandes custom shop manager. I really enjoy how original that guitars design is. The fact that it is not a USA guitar precludes it from my collection (that's a little protection racket I run on myself). I've been familiar with them since the days when I subscribed to the old small format Vintage Guitar snail mailing list.
They always seemed to be pricing stuff fairly and describing stuff accurately... which was a lot less common back then.
I'd love to visit the place someday.

Rockin Robin is like a museum. Bart has a good selection of roadworthy equipment, but he has - Not For Sale - a bunch of awesome stuff - and some oddballs. Plus his selection of vintage drums is incredible.
No keys, no recording equipment - just basses, guitars, amps, pedals and long boards.

During lunch I decided to email Callaham Guitars about their Tele style bridges.
I've used their parts and they are excellent. The issue I mentioned to them is that
many people, including myself, do not want the string thru.
I mentioned that having the option for a top load Tele style would be great.
It wasn't minutes and Mr. Callaham mailed me back! No sweat, how many you want?
Man, then I had to tell him...I'm nobody but I'd sure like two right now if possible...LOL
I'm curious to find out what happens.
He really should add them to the offerings. Maybe he will.

I'm not even fond of old ancient played to death guitars that weren't treated with care and respect.
I'm looking at a used Chandler 555 on ebay at it's got major belt buckle rash and I'm thinking... what kind of guitar player let that happen day after day?
