Saffire Pro 40

I can only get sound output from Sonar X1 to Saffire Pro 40 in WDM even though all the Asio boxes are ticked. Have uninstalled and reinstalled Saffire Pro and updated drivers. Has anyone out there had this provlem and solved it.

in your inputs / outputs.. untick any other soundcard like ya realtek that isn't the focusrite.. then and only then can you apply ASIO, maybe thats the issue ? , failing that would sound like its not finding the asio driver. on my unit (saffire 6) has an o/p 3-4 switch, without that pressed in then I can't pick them channels in the asio driver.. any switches like that on the front of your unit ?

Thanks Fog. Did what you suggested but still no Asio output. Strange because I have been using the UA 25EX with no problems with Asio. I did uninstall the UA25EX before installing Saffire Pro 40 and occasionally get a message from Sonar that it is missing even though in the audio and midi in/outputs only saffire pro is showing.

What led up to the problem? Did it stop working after the update?

FWIW - my Pro40 seems to be working fine in ASIO with X1C. Would resetting the aud.ini file help?

Also, if you haven't already, I'd verify your system sound device settings in Windows.

any joy ? try using the registry tab with ccleaner http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner . the UA is unplugged I take it, also unplug the saffire.. install clean drivers off the focus-rite site, not the cd... after you install.. reboot with it plugged in.. your running win 7 ? also your running sonar in your main account.. right click "run as admin" and try adjusting it.. quibb are there any switches on the unit like my unit that need pressing etc ?
