Need Some Advice --- SORTED!!!!
Hi, I used to be able to (Producer 8.5) mute part of a track by hitting K on the keyboard then holding down the left mouse button, slide along an individual track, to take out a piece of audio, and if I thought, it sounded better with it in, I'd do the same again and restore the peice of audio, why can I not do this anymore, am I missing something ? Thanks John

That was a key-binding to toggle Mute Clip. Same can be done in X1... Open a project and press P to open the Preferences window. In the bottom left corner, make sure Advanced is ticked (this will expose the Key-Binding options). Go to the Key-Binding section... and assign your desired key combination to toggle Clip Mute.

You can but press and hold F10 (the mute tool) then drag. Bottom half of clip mutes, top half unmutes. I guess you could always remap the mute tool to K if you prefer.

Hi Jim, I tried that and it didn't work. John

What didn't work? You need to be a bit more specific than just saying "it didn't work"

I wondered about un-mute when I wrote it.... Yes drag it again but in the top half of the clip.
