Looking for a shortcut for console/track view

I have just upgraded from MC4/5 to X1.

I'm figuring the GUI out step by step.  I'm used to the simplicity of MC but this is pretty cool too. So... my question.

In MC I have an icon at the top in the tool bar that allows me with one click to switch between the console view and the track view.

So far in X1, I've not found it. I do see where I can go to the top and with several clicks switch between the views.

I'm looking for a way to pin the console view and track view onto the screen somewhere so I can switch with one click between them.

At some point I might consider dual video monitors but for now, I'm content to be able to switch back & forth ... if I could only find the buttons.

Don't think there's a button, unless it's in the multidock and you hit "D" to open and close it (pluss clicking on the tab for the console if neccesary). However, you can hit Alt+2 on your keyboard to open the console view. But it may remain docked which needs to be opened.

you could float the Console View and Alt-Tab between them or hit Alt+2 to open it if closed.

Multidock and "D" really does it for me, however.

I've got the Console permanently docked, so I just click the "Console" label when I want it open, and 'D' to go back to track view.

    Oh, and I forgot: Screensets!!!!

Make one in your Normal Template with a screenset containing just the console, or part of console you like to use. Hit the apropriate number key and there it is. Usable in all of your projects

Just an example: Currently, when I hit the "4" I get the console view with just tracks, hit "5" and I get Concole View with just the Buses and "6" has Console View with Tracks, buses and the Browser. And they're locked so if I start changing the Screenset of old habbit, when I hit the keys again the same views pop open

I just went to the DAW and hit "D" and it toggles me back and forth.

    I think that will work.

I'll dig into the screensets and see what's in there later

    Thanks
