Just been listning to " Silver Rider" by Robert Plant and the Band of Joy. Does it for me. I love Buddy Miller's Guitar sound on this album. Distorted yet mellow.

Old55 Mike Oldfield--Tubular Bells http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jv8Xeg6MQW0&feature=related I have such an extensive Mike Oldfield collection that it is really hard to decide what I like the most ... Amarok -- Always a pleaser as the "visuals" and insanity in it is a lot of fun to listen to. Not sure that it is something that most musicians will like, since it is probably too weird and different and the notes ... well, I'm not sure "Amorok" is about the notes at all! Exposed -- With Pierre Moerlin, Pekka Pojhola, Maddy Prior ... is fantastic all the way through. Get the DVD and watch Pierre Moerlin just take over the whole thing. It's like it was written for him! Songs of Distant Earth -- Too nice!

Old55 Anthony Phillips--Which Way The Wind Blows http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVPUgEbEIXE What a gentleman ... he even gave me permission to use the music from "Slow Dance" for a piece of poetry that I wrote for someone. It was used in the audio edition of the "Ygdrasil Journal of Poetic Arts" that I put together some 10 years ago ... it had a lot of things, including a piece by Shakti Yoni from one of her albums. I have so many of his albums that it is hard to decide which one I like the most, but "Slow Dance" and the album after it "Slow Waves, Soft Stars" are very special for me.

Hi Moshkiae, That's a good story about "Slow Dance". It reassures me that he's not a nit-picker type of person. I'm even more likely to buy some more CDs from him now. Besides "The Geese And The Ghost", I also have "Sides". I wish I had more of his albums. They've been fairly hard to find locally. I may have to resort to ordering on line. I prefer to give my business to local stores when I can. Take care, Jan

Here is Uriah Heep with Salisbury, which is the title track of the album which should be listened to in its entirety. I LOVE Salisbury... it always brings backgood memories. I have it on LP and CD. My vote would be for any song by Monks of Doom. J

Hi Moshkiae. I only have TB and Omadawn. I think I like TB more--just because I've had it the longest. I also have Orchestral Tubular Bells on vinyl. I think I may also have an LP that was a collaboration Sally Oldfield and Esa-Pekka Salonen. I also saw the tour for Tubular Bells in a fairly small club in NYC.
