MIDI notes get stuck if playback is stopped in the middle of that note??

I have a MIDI track with its output sent to a synth. Now, if I time it perfectly and stop playback while a note is being played, that note will get stuck. And when I press play again, that note will continue playing along with whatever other notes the MIDI is supposed to play... and continues to stay stuck until that particular note is played again at some point in the song. This bug is repeatable and happens EVERY time I stop playback while a note is being played.

I tested this on Reaper (same procedure with same MIDI file and same synth) and the problem does not occur, so I am convinced it is a problem with Sonar X1.

However, I have the trial version installed. Is this perhaps a known bug that is been fixed in X1c or some other update in the past? Any help would be appreciated
