All I want for Xmas: colours, indents and no abbr (oh my!)

I have had tremendous respect for Cakewalk over the years and I think X1 was a bold move that is getting closer to maturing and, for me anyway, X1c is closing the gap between what I loved about 8.5 and what I am discovering I love about X1.

But for me there are still some fundamental areas to address that were all available in 8.5:
- colours and ease of customisation
- folder indents
- no abbreviations

I feel these are all low-hanging fruit, and the lack thereof still cause me to open up projects in 8.5.

Thanks, but I've already done that -- on this, as many other features, over the past several years.

I always have a long "wish" list, but decided to keep this one simple and focused on one area:  i.e. the UI look, where I feel it would help the usability.  Hopefully this minimizes the risk and logic changes required.

Yeah...I know but it appears that there was a rash of colour threads around here lately that some get a little frisky with...

I did the same as I do have eye sight issues as well with the colours being used..no customizability issues outside of using Panups Mods...

I wish they'd just hire or develop a licensing agreement with Panu and Ben...and just let em run...that would effectively end a ton of carping right there.

I would like to see a theme solution like motu has done in Digital Performer:

Just one click to change the entire interface, cool

ooh, that's a nice slick looking UI.  I almost wish I hadn't seen it.  I'm sure that X1 is a move in the direction that will facilitate some of the other UI shown under the whole "User Interface" section shown on that MOTU site.

They also have folders within folders, all with very clear colour-coding:

Can I ask for more for Xmas now?
