X1 crash-DP using the "almost there" guitar patch

I just had X1 crash on me twice using that "almost there" guitar  patch.  It was the second instance of DP. Has this happened to anyone else?

The good news. I did not lose the project and another guitar patch works fine.  Whew.....

I've had X1 crash a few times by cycling through presets in DP.. Not sure If I happened to hit the "almost there" preset.. I sent windows crash reports and a sonar dump file to Cakewalk.. I'll open up DP in a few and specifically test out that patch.

Sigh.. wow.. Not even five minutes of messing around and I've already experienced issues.

     Here's what I do
    1. Load up dimension pro as a simple instrument
    2. Load a second instance of dimension pro as a simple instrument
    3. select various presets on each instance.. In my case I had "Les paul overdrive unison bend dry" on one instance and "almost together" on the other instance.

At this point all I have to do is just switch focus between the two instances of DP for a little while and then bam.. My meters freeze, a part of the control bar is stuck on my windows desktop when I minimize Sonar and I get an app hang error message.

Description: A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows.
Problem signature: Problem Event Name: AppHangB1 Application Name: SONARPDR.exe Application Version: 18.0.3.319
I'm tired of bugs and crashes :(

To add insult to injury, now the forum is flaking out... Hitting Preview brings up a window that says undefined.. hahaha..

Well, at least it's not just me. The sound stopped but the timer kept going. It was just Sonarpdr.exe for me though.

After browsing around for a bit I found a thread about DP crashing with certain patches.

There is a work around detailed in the thread which is very good to know.. But man, Why hasn't Cakewalk addressed this with a small update for DP?

The initial response I received from Cakewalk about the report I sent in made it seem like this was the first time they ever heard of the problem, and yet it is obviously a very very old issue that quite a few people have brought up.. Strange..

    Oh yeah.. The link:
