A Couple Of Quick Questions About X1 Essential

I'm considering the upgrade to Essential. However, I have a couple of questions.
 
Does Essential support MIDI sync? This is one of the major drawbacks to MC5 for me and I assume it won't change with MC6. This feature would make my life much easier. As sync is one of the most basic MIDI functions I'm not sure why MC5 doesn't have it. I mean it supports video sync but not basic MIDI?
 
Secondly, does Essential allow for an unlimited number of softsynths and plug-ins? I am limited by both in MC5. I think it allows only 8 soft synths to be inserted into a project. Anyone know a good workaround?
 
I checked the comparison chart on the cakewalk site but it didn't really answer my questions. I appreciate any insight you guys could give me.

    midi sync.... IDK

    Unlimited synths..... IDK   I guess that depends on the computer's ability to handle it all in real time.   It doesn't have unlimited tracks so I'm not really sure about the synths.... if you can't find the answer, call cake's sales line and ask.

    MIDI Sync - I think it has MIDI sync, but not MTC.  but I'm not 100% sure of that.
