Problems with z3ta + 2 or what?

I've had some issues with Z3ta + 2 but that thread was moved to CW instruments.
I don't know if this has anything to do with z3ta but hopefully we'll see.
I laid a track using Z3ta with omni selected. I then added SI strings and changed the z3ta to midi channel 1 and put si strgs on 2.
I put my controller on channel 2 but I get both instruments when played.
Any thoughts?

EDIT: oh and stuck midi notes

EDIT 2: it plays regardless of what midi channel I set the controller (axiom 61) to...si strgs only plays when I select it's channel as expected
