How do I edit Toontrack DKFH midi clips in piano roll and keep the DKFH sounds?

I apologize in advance if I couldn't find this topic already discussed somewhere.  I've been looking for 2 days and found everything except what I need an answer to.  Im somewhat new at recording on the PC. I'm using Music Creator 5. I want to be able to use the Toontrack DKFH midi clips but still be able to go into piano roll and tweek them. Move a beat around, add a cymball here or there or just write my own fill. I drag the midi clips from Toontrack into the track pane of Music Creator and everything sounds great. But when i go into piano roll to edit the clip, the notes are there from DKFH, but when i punch anything in I get the lame default midi sounds instead of the DKFH sounds. I assume its a routing problem but I cant figure it out and I've been searching and trying to figure it out myself to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

that means you have the MIDI track's output set to MS GS Wavetable or TTS-1 or something like that instead of DKFH.

Hey thanks Beagle.  But there has to be something else im missing.  All my other softsynths work fine.  If I load Studio Instuments Bass or Drums they work fine.  If i change the sound to "Roomy Kit" on SI drums,  then go into piano roll, I get the "Roomy Kit" sound when I start punching in beats.  Superior Drummer is the only softsynth giving me this problem.  Another thing I notice is when im in Toontrack in Standard view, i get the DKFH sounds but when I switch to Classic view in it switches to the crap default midi sounds.  Is That normal?

Please confirm to us the inputs and outputs of the MIDI-tracks (and the related audio tracks) as Beagle suggested.

Have you heard the "Standard" and "Classic" sounds before, so that you're sure what you hear is GS Wavetable (the "classic" simply may sound a bit simple)?

What soundcard and driver mode are you using? What is selected in the Options dialogue as Input/Output drivers and recording and playback timing master?

I find it hard to believe that Toontrack could change the output of the track when you change the view, because a VST has no control on the tracks output nor on the settings in the Options dialogue (to, say, switch on GS Wavetable).

Is there a MIDI-channel selection in Toontrack? Are the "Standard"  and "Classic" using the same MIDI-channel? Is there a maybe a "low-fi/hi-fi-switch or something??

Thanks Kalle.  I knew it was something simple. After you said,

"Have you heard the "Standard" and "Classic" sounds before, so that you're sure what you hear is GS Wavetable (the "classic" simply may sound a bit simple)? "

I switched to the Cocktail kit in Superior and noticed I was getting the Cocktail kit in PRV it was just very weak.  So all I had to do was turn up the track velocity to 127.   It totally went unnoticed as I don't  fool with voume, velocity or panning until I start mixing.  Man.....3 days of headache over something that in hindsight seems so obvious.  The DKFH bass drum sounds almost identical to my default midi drums when the velocity is down like that and I just assumed that it was the default midi drums even though it seemed my I/O and everything else were good.

Thanks for giving me a list of things to check over. I was about ready to give up. And thanks again to Beagle.
