UA4FX Guitar Recording with Effect Pedals

I have a MXR Distortion III pedal and I use it with a Vox AC4TV tube amp. 
In UA4FX, is it possible to record the guitar while using the effect pedals chain in-between? (That is, Guitar -> Distortion III -> UA4FX)

Also, the Vox AC4TV has a 4W/16Ohm output. Can I plug this output directly into UA4FX's guitar input? 

I don't understand much difference between amp outputs (these wattage and ohm ratings), balanced/unbalanced I/O etc. Any insight will be deeply appreciated!

    Your chain of , Guitar -> Distortion III -> UA4FX )will be fine.

    The answer about the Vox is.... And I may be wrong but you would need a power soak to plug in to first so you don't blow all your tubes.

    Some amps have dedicated outs you can use like the Huges and kettner tubemeister  18 and the Black star ht5. or anything with a headphone out.

    Just checked and your amp hant got anything you can do it with.

    Thanks for that info! 
    Can you please elaborate what a power soak is? Or better, tell me a few that you think are suitable for the job and I'll have a look at them. 

    There are a few things out there called as DI Boxes, not sure if they are any different from UA4FX, can they be used to record from the Vox directly?
