Another tune!

Here is one i have been working on for about two weeks, it is almost done. I have more touch up to do on the vocals, and some more mixing. Any thoughts?    http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=10971255&q=hi&newref=1

Awesome work, Rob.  The mix is balanced very well and overall production quality is top notch.  I enjoyed this tune!  Great guitar work too.

What do you plan to do with the vox yet?  I think they're really good.

Basically a little work on a few of the notes that tend to head flat, and i would love to add a background vocal track. Also i plan to lose the organ on the verses and have it kick in an support the chorus drums a little bit more. Thanks Luke for the listen.

Takin' a listen over at your site as i type.

    Hi Rob,

I'm listening on a laptop but the mix and production sound very good.

    Great guitar playing/tone.

You've got a good voice, too.

    Nice work!

Ah, I think the voice is too loud, and the drums reflect that also, while the main music (instruments) are too soft. Piano is almost loud enough, but that is how I hear it anyway.

    Bob,
Nice sounding tune.  I actually think the organ should stay (in the verses) but come forward in the mix a bit.  Other than that I think mix sounds pretty good.  Nice performances all the way round.  Good stuff!

Nice soundscape. Everything seems to be where it should with the exception of the vocals. Sounds like you're holding back a bit on the vocals, apprehension is the enemy of good vocal takes. Just let it rip and try to connect with the lyrics/message/vibe of the tune. It's all about conveying the emotion of the song. Vocals are tough though. Good work.

Hey.... you've come out of retirement!

I like where this is headed..... have another look at the line 7 grand children..... might need a rewrite. It's awkward.

So far it sounds good.... of course it needs kick and punch in the bottom end.

That guitar tone is soooooo FAAAAAATTTTTTT! I love it.

I never knew....or had forgotten that you are such a talented guitar player.
