Audio clip location relativity when changing project tempo

I imported a clients prerecorded 2 track instrumental mix along with several separate vocal clips in to a project then aligned the vocal clips in their proper location relative to the 2 track instrumental. The thing I forgot to do is to match the project tempo to the instrumental track before arranging the vocal clips (freshmen mistake). Trying to change the project tempo after the song is arranged moves the relativity of the audio clip placement when you do it after the fact. I could just do the arranging over again but I thought I'd ask anyway: Is there a way to lock an audio clips location when adjusting tempo so the clip does not move with the timeline?

Both audio and MIDI clips start times are locked to M:B:T time by default. This means a clip's Absolute start time will change when you change tempo.  This makes sens if you have both MIDI and Audio clips in the project that are in sync, but not if you project is only audio, and you're wanting to change the M:B:T tempo without affecting audio.

If a clip does not start at time zero, and you want it to retain its absolute start time, go to clip properties in the Inspector, and change the Timebase from Musical to Absolute.

Actually, what I needed was a way to make a clip look at another clip to retain song position and ignore project settings but with that said I just did a clip by clip arrangment. Next time I'll set the tempo as soon as I import the stereo track, Thanks anyway brundlefly
