I just wanted to say...

Sonar ROCKS!!!

Getting caught up with moaning about specific persistent issues that have been manifest from version to version it's easy to lose track of that simple fact.

I've been looking at lots of alternative apps. over the last few months in an attempt to overcome some of the niggly shortcomings I come across, which are most certianly sources of frustration within Sonar.  I do realise that it is still a comfortable limousine among the many spartanly equipped utility vehicles of musical expression that exist out there.

Sure I now have different things that do their own special stuff with efficiency and maybe cut to the core of a particular task I want to get done, but when it all comes down to it there is nothing that brings it all together quite like Sonar.

Just sayin...

I was never going anywhere, I think I'm just like a chip in the paintwork or an old stain in the carpet around here now.

I'm just counting a few blessings out loud.

    I sure agree Jon.

The only bug I found with X1 they confirmed and fixed.
I wish they could fix my time problem. :)  I don't seem
to be doing very good at it.

    Yep.

I just wish Cakewalk was more conservative with it's engineering ambitions... and more vigilant with it's quality control.

My opinion is that it's a tiny little company doing great things that are made more difficult by a drive to not appear tiny.

1964 was a very good year for the music instrument business.

    best regards,

Wow.  Now JB can predict the weather.

Bapu gets 22K posts (again) and now The Bouy is a Prognosticator!  Was there a cosmic event that I missed?  Did everyone else get super powers too?  I just checked and I still can't fly.  Successfully, that is.

Oh yeah I can agree with that! And it rocks on so many levels...anything that ups my average hours of playing per day is +1.

    +1 JB..
I haven't tried other apps as I've not really needed to.....Sonar has been very stable and of course I'm only using possibly 25% of the capabilities Sonar offers which works very well.....but, BE WARNED....I'm still dangerous as I can self destruct and go Kamikazi at any moment with this little knowleadge!!!

After awhile, one becomes complacent in the face of the ever increasingly likelihood of catastrophic self-destruction.  I've also found that constantly whining about it leads to "Boy Who Cried 'Kaboom!'" syndrome.  No one takes the possibility of your iminent self-immolation seriously.  When they start trying to light your fuse, that's when it may be time to find another circle of fiends coworkers relatives friends.

Like Mesh, I've only used Cakewalk software and it's (almost) always done what I want it to do, which is record.
And it does ROCK. Well, sometimes it Countries. Every now and then it Jazzes and Classicals. Or Folks.
