Piano Roll acting up

with X1 Producer and X1c update - using Piano roll and session drummer - it sometimes misses playing a drum beat - play again - it plays it -  bounce it to a track and everything sounds fine.   Creating the midi track by playing the beats and need to hear to correct mistakes along the way.   hard to write drum music when cant always here the beat
 
any suggestions?
