Anyone tried the Melda VSTs?

I've been studying the site of Meldaproduction lately. Partly because they've released such an interesting array of free plugins, and partly because their commercial plugins have gotten so good a reception in reviews.

I must say, the collection looks very tempting (Creative Bundle, for example) and the descriptions of the plugins make me more and more interested. I guess I'll start demoing sooner or later.

Have any of you tried? The functions of the plugins seem to be so numerous and demanding, that I started to wonder, for example, how CPU intensive they are.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

Like you Kalle, ol pal, I've just got several of the free ones.  John mentioned them in a thread and I think he uses them.  From what I can tell so far they are very good plugs and have scalable GUIS to boot.

I've tried all the freebies, and they're all quite good for freebies. The one that stands out, though, and is unlike anything else in my toolbox, is MLimiter. It's not just a generic limiter as the name might imply. It's also a harmonic distortion generator that gives you a lot of control over the amount and type of distortion.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I, like bitflipper, have been using the freebies for a while in x64. TMLimiter has become my goto plug. It is very versatile beyond being just a limiter. I have also used the Tremolo on a guitar track for that old 50-60's guitar trem. It is very nice. I have played around with them all at some point. They are definitely worth having. I still use x84 so I have used the 32 bit versions as well. They are all very nice. I am considering buying the suite just from how strong the freebies are.

Sonar Platinum, Sonar X3e, Sonar X2a , Sonar X1 Expanded and 8.5.3 (32 and 64 bit), Windows 10 on a Toshiba P75-A7200 Laptop with i7 @ 2.4 quad and 8 gigs of RAM and secondary WD 1 Tb drive, Windows 10 desktop, Asus i5 @ 3.2 quad, 12 gigs RAM, 1 Tb drive, 1 500 gig drive, MOTU 24io, 2 Roland Studio Captures, Saffire 6 USB for laptop, Soundtracs Topaz Project 8 mixer, Alesis Monitor 2s, Event BAS 20/20s, Roland Micro-Monitor BA-8s, and 45 years worth of collecting FX, Mics, Amps, Guitars, and Keyboards!

Sounds promising. As I said, so many of the plugins are multiband and include step sequencers and whatever additional features, that I got interested in their CPU-load. Demoing will tell.
