    Quite literally one of my idols.  His world no longer exists and we are not likely to see his like again.  He and Mike defined a generation and laid the cornerstone for all popular rock and roll songwriters to come.  Along with Buddy Holly they were the progenitors of rock.  Be glad you knew his work.
