sonar 8.5 LE or Sonar Studio?

LE stand for Limited or Light Edition. I don't even know if you can buy it, it's more limited than any advertised, cheapest "normal" version. I think that's the recipe with the LEs of all manufacturers. The sound quality isn't any worse, though, so you can make just as good music with it as with any of the more expensive versions.

If you are talking about SONAR X1 Studio, not Home Studio, it costs about 180 euros and is a feature rich, serious recording software.

There are dozens of different programs and versions under SONARs name. I  thought first that you use Cakewalk V-Studio, 'till I googled and noticed there is a Roland VS Studio workstation. I had never heard of a SONAR VS before. I googled for its feature list but found nothing, so it is a mystery to me.

Why not open the program an see what it is called, there is usually an "About..." dropdown or something that tells the program details to make sure it's not just Home Studio or something in disguise :o).

If you make us google around just to find out what you possibly have bought, you're not very likely to get answers here :o/

It's worth it to write a forum signature with your gear and software. It makes thing easier. Usually, if I have to start googling tofind out what somebody possibly is using, I just let the question be.

k2cine, I can't but wonder. Thinking about the very beginner level of this thread, it's hard understand where you get the nerve to start arguing about how many sliders one can use in a hardweare mixer.
