SONAR X1 CWBRN-5786, Cannot use separate snap to settings in PRV if output is a drum map?


Is it true?

I'd say that 80% of my MIDI editing in PRV is done with drum mapped sample libraries while enjoying the snap to grid features.


Gee whiz... if it's not one deal killer it's another deal killer.



Does any one know if this will be fixed in X1D?

    If this is true, then I predict a Hotfix, and soon.

    Hey Mike that's my bug report, get your own....

    Yes unfortunately it is true. If you use a drum map as an output the global snap value over rides the local PRV snap. Not a problem if they are the same of course.

    So to work round either set the output straight to the drum machine, edit with different snaps, and then switch back to the map or alternatively change the global snap to your desired PRV snap.

    I submitted  a bug report for the same issue and it was confirmed by Cakewalk. I'm also hoping this gets addressed in a hotfix because I also use the PRV and drum maps almost exclusively. I got excited about the feature, but then lost interest!
