    Hi Mooch,

Every time I respond to one of these 'should I install it' threads I get my ass handed to me ... but here goes.

Don't know how often you wonder upstairs ... but in case you missed it ... I installed X1c and my system fried. I have a project up right now that has 3 frozen tracks, and 1 track with Guitar Rig with Input Echo enabled and it's using 20% of my CPU according to Windows Task Manager. I did a system restore from a drive image and that did not help which has me really baffled.

There were a couple of other guys who reported the same thing, but there's only been like 3 of us and one of them resolved it, unfortunately the resolution didn't apply to my situation.

So, in the limited amount I've been able to tinker with it, it seems ok, but I can't honestly say I've used it. I have to get my high CPU usage resolved because I don't like pushing it that hard all the time. Normally I'd only see 4 ~ 5% usage on a project like I mentioned above.

Older projects that used to open fine keep dropping out or cause clicks and pops now even with a large buffer and are showing upwards of 50% usage.

Again there's only been a couple of us who have seen this so take it with a grain of salt ...

On a positive note ... I tried using 64 samples again on my Fast Track Ultra and got my RTL down to 2.9ms. I wasn't able to do that before X1c because of pops, clicks, and dropouts. So that's a good thing.

    Hey Bub

    wow -

well thanks for that info -

really I am just kind of joking in this thread

I have no problems with sonar as it is now - so maybe I will just keep the patch saved  on anther hard drive - and keep it if I ever get a new computer and for some reason that set up calls for the patch making things run better

so again - thanks for the info Bub - my system is not broke so maybe........

    Hey Bub

so again - thanks for the info Bub - my system is not broke so maybe........
The new step sequencer layout and bus grouping is reason enough to do the X1c update imo. :)
