Could Someone who uses staff view in X1c please do me a small favor?

Could someone verify if, when changing instruments in instrument pane of the staff view the active track changes in the track view as well?   This is how it is supposed to work, and has worked in previous versions.  While in the staff view, you should be able to hear the active track's instrument change as you play on a MIDI keyboard.
