X1 preference issue

I've always had issues with preferences and I think I found a problem.

I've had preference settings change randomly since I started with X1. During my last session I created a new project while working on a current project. The new project used the standard normal template that ships in X1. The color scheme in the new project was different than the old project. The old project had custom colors for the track folders. I copied a midi track from the old project into the new project.

When I went back to the old project, the colors for the track folders were now the same as the new project. They changed. Further checking showed that magnetic strength had turned itself back on in my old project.

It seems that if I open two projects at the same time some of the preferences will be overwritten in the old project. There's too many preference values to check, but in my case the colors and magnetic strength settings get changed every time. This would explain many strange events.

Can anyone confirm?!?
