Send MIDI note on event when sonar starts playback
Hi All - I've looked around a bit but can't seem to find an answer to this. I've got a single very long midi note that spans many measures. It plays a complicated rapture program that has some things going on only at the beginning of the sound when it's first triggered. Thus, I don't want to trigger the sound more than once while it's being played over a long period of time. So I'm messing around with the song and trying out different stuff at different points during the long midi event. My problem is that when I start playback in the middle of the event, I get no sound out of rapture because it never gets the note-on event (hope that's the correct term). So my question: is there any way to have sonar send a note-on event whenever it starts playback in the middle of a midi event? If not, are there any other ways to think about and do what I'm trying to do? Thanks!

Well, you could freeze the synth or bounce it to a track. Then you'd be working with audio.
