Finally upgrading Laptop after 2 years, highly considering the MSI X460.

So I bought a laptop nearly 2 years ago for the sole purpose of music production, running sonar, and recording music. Obviously as time passes by, new and better machines are available. What I own is a 15" HP Envy, 4gb ram, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66ghz, and a measly 260gb HDD. This has been a lovely machine for recording on, running everything very well and I have no complaints or regrets buying it. It's just that as of right now, it's the only computer I own. My old dell XPS I used for recording on previously died, and my crap netbook died as well. So this laptop has become more and more an "everyday" laptop. The HDD space was exhausted very fast, and even a 500gb external is nearly filled. There are MANY programs and applications installed on it, and I'm begining to think It's time to invest into a new laptop if I wan't to start some serious work on Audio Production. This would allow me to continue using my Envy which is in great condition for everyday use, and my new laptop for Audio work.

This is what I am looking into: http://www.msimobile.com/level3_productpage.aspx?cid=4&id=322
Here is a simple layout of the specs:

___
X460-004US Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM ProcessorGenuine Windows® 7 Professional • 14" Widescreen Display (16:9 ; 1366 x 768) • 6GB DDR3 system memory • 750GB hard drive (7200rpm) • Intel® Wireless Display capable • THX TruStudio Pro Technology • USB 3.0 for high speed data transfer • HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) Output • 802.11 b/g/n Wireless LAN • Extended battery life for all-day computing
____

Not only would this run Sonar better because of it only being used for that purpose, but It's a major upgrade from the machine I currently own. Going from i5 -> i7, 4gb ram -> 6gb ram, and most significantly 260gb HDD -> 750gb HDD. On top of that I have purchased and owned many MSI products and machines in the past, and I am VERY impressed with the company and consider them to be one of the best PC and PC computer part manufacturing companies out there. Chances are I would be buying a refurbished model off ebay for ~1000-1100, and I plan on actually making the purchase in a little over a month when I have the funds. My question is, will this machine run sonar well? I'm expecting lovely results, and that it will run it much smoother and faster that I currently run it on my Envy.  Also, I am not considering Desktops for personal reasons (I travel and move my studio around a lot), and not considering any osx based machines.

EDIT: I'd like to also mention that the MSI X460 keyboard layout is exactly what I love and what I'm used too. It's very similar to the macbook style of keyboard, which is the one of the only things I find attractive about the osx based machines. The Envy has the same style as well.
thanks in advance for the advice:]

I'm running an MSI A6400-042US. It has performed extremely well. I paid $550 for it. Upgraded the RAM to 8 GB and the HDD to a Seagate 750GB 7200rpm. This machine is super quiet and can take anything I throw at it. MSI does not clog your machine with bloatware like the others. The only caveat that I can see about your machine is that the integrated graphics will be locked in at 64 MB RAM. But don't despair. Head on over to the MSI forum and for a nominal fee, they will write you a custom bios that will unleash the integrated graphics card.
