Cut and Paste - How to add stop of damper at end of pasted section.

Hi,

I am new (read very new) to Sonar X1, in fact any DAW. I have been using it for a few weeks now and am muddling my way through. I love it and have very few issues. I have a question though. When I cut a section out and then paste it, if the section has the "damper on" at the end of the pasted section the note rings on through the next piece of music. How can I insert a manual "damper off" instrcution at the end of the cut section ? BTW, the input is via midi.

thanks

Sustain is Control Change 64. You can insert a CC64 event with a value of 0 in the controllers pane of the Piano Roll View or in the Event View to stop the sustain. Or you can do it in real-time by starting recording with the pedal down, and lifting it at the right time.
See the PDF Reference Guide for details on editing/adding controllers in the PRV or Event View.
