Danny..............coolsong. I think the vox are a tad too far up front. I like those guitar arpeggios.

Danny,
This tune has a real spooky atmosphere to it. The vocals are great, although a bit loud in the mix to my ears. You really dialed in a good lead run for this one, very eerie. The vocals may be covering up the drums a bit, dunno, would have to hear it with the vox pulled back some to tell for sure. But yeah, cool tune, good voice and nice guitar. Nice job, a little tweaking and you are there.

very cool song! i love the feel to this one, no wonder you got one of DT commenting on it, it's their kinda ballpark. i think you could get away with a little less reverb on the vocals. the mix with them sounds fine on the laptop, i suspect on phones they would be a little out front. drums need to be a lot beefier, try some parallel compression on them to get a bigger sound...only other thing i would like is a little change in instrumentation in the chorus (maybe a distorted rhythm or a gnarly Hammond type) just to provide a little dynamic there. as i say, this is a cool song though, i really enjoyed it!

Thanks guys alot!!! I had the vocals backed off and they seem like they just lose there fill...Granted I mix three ways...One way yes with the ol'e mighty head phones! Then I mix it again with my powered speakers! Then Don't laugh!!! I walk back inforth from my car till I think it matches Papa Roach lol whatever right....lol For those of you that don't know thats a rock group.

Hi, Danny,
This is a really great, moody sounding, very cool song!
I love the clean guitar tones, which sort of remind me of The Hollies, or maybe early Neil Young, and your vocals and harmonies are excellent. The tasty playing and tone of the guitar solo were perfect for the style of the song, and you've got a nice clean sounding mix.

The vocals just a bit too forward, but the vocals should be forward on this song, so don't back it off too much. I would EQ the vocal to reduce some of the low end frequency a bit to add clarity to the mix.
Cool song! Like your tourtured voice which matches with the mood of the song. Overall nice instrumentation and arrangement.

Cool tune. I think there a bit too much reverb on the vox. I'd like to hear that backed off a bit. Nice work man.

Pro-sounding: Vocs are great as are guitars.
For roller-skating ...I can't hear the kick or bass as much as I'd like -- ha ha!

Hi Danny, Great song and mix! The guitars and vocal create a nice, dark mood/atmosphere. I'd never have thought of a wah-wah guitar solo but it fits perfectly IMO. The overall vibe reminds me of Chris Isaak...although you look as though you might be too young to know who that is

Yeah, I remember commenting on the first post of this tune. Sounds better, and I don't think the vox are too loud, though they could be a little clearer (maybe the reverb settings).

This version does not have a big problem with the vocal level, but the sound of them. The processing doesn't work with the rest of it. Sounds like you scooped out a ton fo the mids.

Lots of good advice on the vox..which still need work...they feel like they are too far forward in the mix...could be as James suggested in that maybe the efx give that appearance...whatever the cause the bass/kit seem miles behind the vox....maybe take the verb "shimmer" off the vox then she might come across better a bit drier?...not sure its just one of those "try it and see" deals. cool song no question!

Well I think the mix is just right. I wouldn't turn the vocals down. Your voice is fabulous and the guitars sounds are great - were they played through a real amp, or software? And I like the big reverb, it suits this particular song. So no constructive criticism at all there!
