RealGuitar 2 won't work after applying X1c

I can't get my RealGuitar 2 plugin to work since applying X1c.  I can open old pre-X1c projects and RealGuitar 2 is still there and works, but if I try to insert the plugin now in a project (old or new) that doesn't already have it I get this error message after selecting it from the browser:

I've tried running the 'Repair' option in the RG2 exe but no joy.
If you have RealGuitar 2 could you check this out for me?  Many thanks

The X64 version of RealGuitar is working here in SONAR X1c Producer X64, in new projects. I don't have it being used in any old projects.

I loaded a project and loaded the 64 bit version of RG2 and it loaded. Nothing more to report.

I searched the error you posted. I am not sure what causes this or why it happens but does it happen when you run Sonar as administrator?

You aren't trying to insert the DX version by mistake are you ?.

Had to ask ... 'cos I've made that mistake before :-)

I'm running 64bit with x1c just fine.  The .vst plugin is installed in the 64bit Cakewalk directory c:/Program Files/Cakewalk/vstplugins/RealGuitar2.dll

File size of the dll is 249KB

Yes, that's where my dll is, although mine is 244kb.
Thanks for the help guys.  I've contacted Music Lab support to see if they can help.

Now I have no RealGuitar, a crippled Melodyne Editor, let's see what goes lame next.  Not getting much music done of late...

Mine is 249kb, too. Maybe that different file size is the source of the problem.

I would uninstall RealGuitar completely and then re-install and check the file size.

The file size of my 64 bit DLL is 244 Kb too and working fine - I just updated a few weeks back and the
file modification time shows as 18/05/2011 11:38 pm

I updated all my musiclab stuff just a few weeks back so I htink I have the latest.
The only pain I had after updating to their 64 bit versions was the patterns/pattern manager.
I had to manually copy the pattern folder over ... I think there's a bit of a hiccup on that side, but
it was easy enough to get that working.

Did you re-scan the VSTs after updating to X1c ?.
I've gotten into the habbit of re-scanning VSTs after any updates just to be certain.

Otherwise, a reinstall is pretty quick and easy for the musiclab stuff.

    Cheers - Cliff

Does your Real Guitar run as a stand alone?

Yes, I can make it run standalone ok.
I'm going to try completely uninstaling and reinstalling and see if that makes a difference.

    Thanks
